What's up all? I was watching the talk show, Black Men Revealed on Tv1 this morning, and the topic was on Cheating. I wanted to throw my two cents in, but uhm, since they were doing all the talking and I was on the other end forced to just listen, I'm gon' put it down here. Then y'all get at me and tell me what you think.
Great topic right?! There was a guest; I believe his name was T-Shaun. He said he never commits.(that's cool if that's how you do) He talked about the many women he has in his life and how he sleeps with somebody every night. (Go 'head Mr. Arrogance!)
He said women cheat as much if not more than men. He admitted to being hurt a couple of times. But here is where I come in... Since he's all that and he never commits, how is he affected with pain with these women? And my other point is: Is it called cheating when there's no relationship to cheat from? Remember he's not committed to anyone. So I found that bit of info contradicting, but more importantly, with him being just a pretty yellow boy gloating, he seemed immature and foolish. He even admitted to sleeping with one of his X's Mom. Now that's LOW!
A question was raised whether the men who were not in a commitment had honestly admitted to the women that they weren't committed to each other. If there's isn't a commitment, again why do you feel you're cheating?
The other men talked about their situations which seemed honest even if the choices made were not commendable. They all even admitted that if a man is in love, he can and will cheat! Do you believe that statement?
One of the guests had been married at least twice and both wives cheated on him. One of them cheated more than once. He said he began to feel what most women feel when their men cheat on them; thinking that perhaps he was not doing something right. He bought the houses, paid the bills, provided food on the table, bought gifts and flowers, but obviously it wasn't enough.
He didn't have a bitter demeanor which was impressive. I believe he felt he had been dealt a bad hand and had to play it through and learn from the game. He was definitely passing off the knowledge to the other guests, especially, T-Shaun, which seemed to be a hopeless case.
One of the other guest said he had cheated once and opened up and confessed to his girl about it. The other men didn't understand why he would cheat then tell. One even mentioned the fact, that since he went through the lies and deceit of doing the act without getting caught -- then why tell?
The guests who had been caught, of course T- Shaun, had never been caught!, said they would shower their women with whatever it took to please her. They admitted to being sensitive toward her needs to make her trust again and to assure her that they would never do it again. They would even shed a tear or two if that is what it took.
They were asked do any of the men they know cheat. The answer was yes!
All of the men were fairly good looking and definitely the type any lady would want to date. But the scary part is knowing some men do cheat whether they are married or single and in love. What is your take on this? How do you feel about the fact that some men do cheat? Why do they cheat. Why do some women cheat? Is it all for the pleasure of another person? Is it just sex? Is it an ego booster as it seemed in T-Shaun's case? Do real monogamous relationships still exist? So tell me!
